Funding & Rebates
Medicare/GP chronic condition management plan (GPCCMP)
Medicare provides a rebate for up to five allied health sessions per calendar year for individuals with ongoing conditions that require treatment from several health professionals.
You will need a referral from your GP, who will assess if the criteria for a GPCCMP is met.
To claim the rebate, you can immediately load your receipt to the Express Plus Medicare app on your mobile device. Alternatively, you can claim your rebate online or in person.

Kindly note that bulk billing is not available for speech pathology services.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Speechi & Co. accepts National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) clients who have self-managed or plan-managed NDIS funds under the funding categories of Capacity Building: Daily Living.
Plan managed NDIS clients are able to claim a rebate of up to $193.99 per hour.

Private Health Insurance

Under private health extras cover, you can claim assessments and therapy sessions.  The rebate amount depends on the individual level of cover.

Please check with your health insurance to see if your specific level of cover entitles you to a rebate.

You will see these item numbers if you have cover:
320 is the item number for an initial consultation/assessment.
350 is the item number for a subsequent session.

Please note: If eligible for both, you must determine whether you will claim therapy/assessment fees through either one of the Medicare programs OR your Private Health fund.
Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) Initiative
If your child is undergoing assessment for Autism, they can be referred by a paediatrician for a rebate on their diagnostic assessment sessions (up to 4 sessions).
If your child has an autism diagnosis, they may also be eligible for a rebate on up to 20 allied health treatment sessions.
