Supervision / Clinical Mentoring

Xiu Ching supports clinicians seeking to enhance their clinical expertise and build confidence in specific areas of speech pathology by providing a safe, supportive, and constructive space for clinicians to grow and thrive in their professional journeys.

She is passionate about family-centered therapy using relationship-based approaches where the goal is to enhance the connection between the child and their caregivers. She does this through:

  • supporting caregivers' understanding of the child's behaviour through a neurodiversity-affirming lens

  • building stronger emotional bonds to foster trust and mutual respect 

  • developing practical strategies to support the child or young person's strengths and needs while promoting positive interactions. 

With a diverse background in private practice, telehealth, paediatric community clinics and transdisciplinary special needs school settings across regional and metropolitan Melbourne as well as additional training in Youth Mental Health, Xiu Ching supports clinicians in the following areas:​
