Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that we are meeting on the traditional and sacred territory of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, the Wurundjeri people, as the first peoples and Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and waterways on which we live.

We honour and pay our respects to Elders past and present, and thank them for their contributions and enduring dedication to the land on which we now stand.

We recognise all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their ongoing strength and resilience despite the past and present impacts of colonisation and dispossession. We acknowledge the important role that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people play as leaders in their communities and across Victoria.

We acknowledge the injustice and abuse done to Indigenous communities, and the need for collective healing.

As an organization, we commit ourselves to Truth and Reconciliation through respectful listening, awareness, education and action.

Worldwide, we stand in solidarity, to respect and preserve the land, the water, the air and to live in harmony.
